“Through sharing my story and inviting personal interaction, people will learn the importance of broadening the definition of diversity, accepting differences in yourself and others, and strengthening our connections.” ~ Ruth Rathblott
“If you are looking to educate your team to understand that inclusion
is a broader term than many of us realize, you won’t find a
more compelling and compassionate person to do it.”
“Ruth is one of the most inspiring and engaging people you could ever meet. There is nothing she can’t do and if you are looking to educate your team to understand that inclusion is a broader term than many of us realize, you won’t find a more compelling and compassionate person to do it. Ruth spoke to our FOX Advertising Sales Team and the response was absolutely incredible. I have known Ruth a long time and was blown away by what I learned and I am eternally grateful because by sharing her personal story with such grace, she made us all a little more self-aware and left the team with a kinder outlook towards both our co-workers and people in general!“

My research and frameworks help you to expand the definition of diversity so you can make it fully inclusive to include people with visible and invisible differences. I provide organizations with the resources they need to open up the diversity conversion to explore other areas of difference.
I know that how we define diversity contributes to hiding and that the key to belonging is unhiding.
For too long visible and invisible differences have been left out of these conversations. But if we can agree that an expanded definition of diversity is the goal then we can talk about the next steps towards this.
I want to build a world where disability – the visible and the invisible – are no longer missing from the diversity agenda. I believe that we start by getting comfortable with our own differences first.
“If you keep hiding your true self, your life becomes like slow death.
Once you become free from the lies and the hiding of yourself,
then life becomes vibrant again.” ~ Ziggy Marley

Let me start by ‘unhiding.’ Confession: I love watching reality TV—it’s a simple pleasure. (Maybe you do, too.) It’s often a way to turn off my brain and relax for an hour (or two…), but…
In a world that often subtly (and not so subtly) encourages us to hide our true selves, the act of sharing our personal stories emerges as a beacon of hope and connection. The importance of…
I thought I had invented hiding. It seems silly – and even embarrassing – to admit now, but I actually had to learn that I wasn’t alone in hiding. As I’ve talked to people over…
“Her story resonated with our employees, and I hope she continues to share her story with other corporations who value diversity and inclusion and inspire us all to accept our differences and live our authentic selves.”

“Ruth is one of the best. She shared her personal experiences and followed those stories with easily digestible lessons. Ruth engaged the audience and was excellent answering difficult on the spot questions. I was very impressed and inspired by Ruth. I look forward to keeping in contact and collaborating with her in the future.”
Joshua Levine, COO / Business Manager
Credit Trading, Barclays Investment Bank
“Engaging an audience virtually is not something just anyone can do. By being authentic and vulnerable and speaking from the heart, Ruth was able to strike just the right tone and create genuine rapport — no surprise then that her message resonated deeply with the audience. Ruth is a courageous individual who has turned her story into a gift that inspires others.”
